WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Otterbein women's soccer team hosted Hanover in a rainy-day non-conference matchup this afternoon at Memorial Stadium. The Cardinals dropped the contest 1-0 due to a late offensive surge from the Panthers.

Otterbein battled hard in a back-and-forth scoreless first half, tying Hanover in shots with four apiece.

Both teams came out energetic after the half, but the Panthers pulled ahead after finding the back of the net in the 75th minute of the contest.

Olivia Brooks and Katie Kyre both tallied two shots each for the Cardinals, followed by Cat Szasz and Alexis Pickerel, who each fired one shot on the pitch this afternoon.

Isabella Neal played the full 90 minutes in net and made nine saves on ten shots on goal.

The Cards have a short two-day break before hosting Adrian this upcoming Tuesday, Sept. 15. Kickoff is slated at 5 p.m.
