ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Otterbein University men's golf team won the Muskingum University Spring Invitational held Friday at EagleSticks Golf Club in Zanesville.

Otterbein won the invitational--shortened to one round due to expected cold weather on Saturday--by 10 strokes over host Muskingum. Adam Crider took home co-medalist honors for the Cardinals, shooting a 1-over-par 71. There were four teams and 35 golfers in the field.

"I was very pleased with the team's performance in such difficult conditions," said head coach Brian Booher. "It was a good show of maturity and mental toughness."

Otterbein shot 299 for the day and was followed by Muskingum, 309, John Carroll University, 316, and Capital University, 326.

Also scoring for the Cardinals were David Monaco, tied for third with 74, Luke Kindelin, tied for sixth, 76, and Troy Lemke, tied for ninth, 78.

Otterbein is scheduled to return to the course this Thursday and Friday, competing in the Capital Invitational.
