Full OAC Release
WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Otterbein University placed 45 student-athletes on the 2015 fall season's Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) list, the league office announced Tuesday morning.
The 45 student-athletes is good enough to rank as the second-most among the 10 institutions in the conference, just trailing the 46 of Ohio Northern University. Overall, 279 student-athletes were recognized across the six fall sports.
The Otterbein women's soccer and football teams led the way as an impressive 11 players from each received the honor, while men's soccer came in just behind with nine players on the list. Volleyball and women's cross country each had six while men's cross country rounded out the list of recipients with two.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 on a scale of 4.00, have reached varsity status, and be at least sophomore academic standing at his/her current institution.
